Carn the Aussies!

Well I’m sure many of you would have heard about the Socceroos winning the FIFA World Cup Qualifier last night against Uraguay in Sydney Australia. But what more can I say, “Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!” :)

The event brought the entire nation together – Australia’s multi-national community was united by the sport that is normally considered the underdog when compared to Australian Football, but it was a moment to be cherished by many. No doubt soccer will have a much larger following in 7 months for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

It was an exciting game to watch, even when I watched it again today it brought me to the edge of my seat. But what’s happening with the Wallabies? tsk tsk, don’t even go there …
