Exciting Flex Development Competition

Adobe have launched a fantastic Flex Development Competition, the Flex Developer Derby. There’s many great prizes to be won, and it’s a great way to showcase your skills and ideas. With a number of categories to choose from, including my favourite Just Freakin’ Cool (aka Wild Card), there’s an opportunity to develop just about anything using a combination of the Flex 2.0 products.

So what are you waiting for! Go and get flex’ing! ;)

    What am I waiting for…

Hmm, well an online developer competition that is not just open to “LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OR CANADA, EXCLUDING QUEBEC, WHO ARE AGE 18 YEARS OR OLDER”, discount that you’re a Adobe employee and you’re not able to enter this one mate ;)

So are Adobe Asia Pacific going to run a competition? Come on, we need some motivation here. Lots of smart people with no motivation to crank out some great applications.

    Cheers
    Gareth.

That’s one thing that I would like to look in to as it’s unfortunate that the Flex world outside of North America and Canada has to miss out. I can’t guarantee anything, but I will poke and prod where I can ;)

Here’s some news for the Australia and New Zealand crowd – word has it that there are plans for a Flex Developer Derby for ANZ, there’s no news on categories and/or prizes, but possible launch dates are around CeBIT Australia 2006 (so May some time).

I’ll keep you informed where I can, hopefully I’ll have some more information over the coming weeks.
