World Cup Group F – Aus vs Brazil

2006

Well I’m impressed! I just watched the game from a pub in downtown Ottawa, and although Australia lost 2-0 to Brazil, we really put up a fight. It was a great challenge with many scoring opportunities after substituting Liverpool great Harry Kewell, and Mark (Marco, as we knew him at high school) Bresciano.

All is not lost as we are still second in the group table, only needing a draw against Croatia to make it to the elimination rounds.

Go Socceroos!

I was in Brazil – Croatia match in Berlin live. I have to say that they were really lucky!

It was same in 2002 against Turkey. They won 1-0 in 2 matchs with their chance. :) I mean they are easily beatable.

No doubt, that’s what Australia proved again- that Brazil can be beaten! We really stood up today, skill isn’t everything, by marking our players it really made the Brazilians up their game.

Most enjoyable! Once again, carn’ the Socceroos!

Ok, 1 word – “theref’sontheirpayroll”. Was it just me or did anyone else see Ronaldo slip a wad of hungy’s into the ref’s sock a couple of minutes into the second half?
