This morning (well yesterday now that I’m publishing the post), amongst many other announcements, Google released an open source project named “Google Gears“.
Google Gears (BETA) is an open source browser extension that enables web applications to provide offline functionality using following JavaScript APIs:

I’m sitting next to Ryan Stewart (it was great to finally meet him), and I’m sure my post is no where near as prominent as his, but here goes … The reception here has been surprisingly warm, with a mass number people attending from a whole range of backgrounds – flash, flex, management, [...]

This is building up to be an awesome event, with all available registrations taken within about 48 hours! On top of that, there’s a whole bunch of internal staff attending as well … ApolloCamp?! ApolloParty!!
So it looks like I’m the only Aussie to be attending, which is pretty cool, and I’m thankful to Adobe [...]
